Newcastle United are giving Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama a wide berth.

The Evening Chronicle says United have other priorities and while Wanyama's progress in the SPL has not gone unnoticed the Kenyan centre-back/ defensive midfielder is yet to make an impact in any of Europe's more renowned leagues.

Arsenal are showing serious interest in Wanyama, who has confirmed talks with the Gunners.
