Newcastle United have gone cold on Crystal Palace fullback Nathaniel Clyne.
The Journal says United extensively scouted Clyne of Crystal Palace, but their interest in the England under-21 man has cooled.
Manchester United are also interested in the youngster and Palace boss Dougie Freedman has confirmed Sir Alex Ferguson's interest.
