Newcastle United are keeping tabs on Darren Bent's situation at Aston Villa.
The Mirror says Bent has been left in limbo at Aston Villa after a fall-out with Paul Lambert.
He could be sold in January, alerting Queens Park Rangers, Liverpool and Newcastle.
