Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul admits they want to finish above Sunderland.
Krul is also on a personal mission to demonstrate exactly what he is capable of between the sticks while Steve Harper is injured and Fraser Forster is on loan at Celtic.
Krul told the Evening Chronicle: "It was definitely a good point for us at Blackpool - we are on course for what we want to achieve and wish to stay on course.
"We knew Blackpool would come out fighting - and they did.
"It was like a cup final for them - it's a great point because it keeps them away from us and we can look up instead.
"We want to finish in the top 10 and especially above Sunderland.
"It's our aim and I think the result is a step in the right direction."
