Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul is ready to face former teammate Andy Carroll when they visit Liverpool.
Krul and Carroll will always share a special bond after both making their United debuts on in Palermo in November 2006.
Krul told the Evening Chronicle: "We made our debuts together in Palermo when we were young lads.
"It was an emotional night in Italy before it because we knew we were playing in a big UEFA Cup game.
"That was in 2006.
"I always say to him he nicked my record because I would have been the youngest player. He came on for a couple of minutes and nicked it off me!
"We have always been big mates. We came through the youth team and reserves together.
"It is good to see Andy doing well at Liverpool, but we will have to make sure he does not score against us."
