Newcastle keeper Krul: Pardew downhill talk inspired comeback against Spurs

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew's positivity has been hailed by his players.

Pardew has been using his powers of positive thought to help his troops.

The wily manager has even gone as far as 'inventing' an imaginary slope at St James' Park.

After Toon stormed back to draw 2-2 with Tottenham on Sunday, keeper Tim Krul revealed: "The manager made a good point at half-time against Spurs.

"He convinced us we were playing downhill towards our fans in the second half. It really seemed to help and, in the end, it was a draw that almost felt like a win."
