Newcastle United goalkeeper Steve Harper is delighted with his loan switch to Brighton.

Harper is ready to quit Newcastle so he can keep playing first-team football.

The 36-year-old, who continues his loan spell with Brighton at Watford tonight, said: "I hadn't played for six months before coming here so it's been nice to blow the cobwebs away. It's better than doing nothing."
