Newcastle United's young goalkeeper Fraser Forster says his rapid development this season is down to senior teammates Shay Given and Steve Harper.

Forster told the Evening Chronicle: "My confidence is high at the minute, but you can't get carried away. There's still plenty of work to get done.

"It's fantastic to work with Steve Harper and Shay Given.

"Goalkeeping coach Paul Barron has come in and done really well and Terry Gennoe was fantastic when he was here."
