Newcastle join race for Man Utd left-back Shaw

Newcastle United have joined the race for Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw.

The Chronicle claims manager Rafa Benitez still holds an interest in the 22-year-old after failing to sign him in the January window.

The Magpies boss attempted to sign Shaw on loan, but Jose Mourinho elected to keep ahold of him until the end of the season.

But after Mourinho's scathing criticism of Shaw following Saturday's FA Cup quarter-final win over Brighton, it seems like the former Southampton man will leave Old Trafford in the summer.

Clubs including Chelsea, Southampton, Manchester City, Everton, Arsenal and Tottenham are all reportedly interested in bringing in the once prodigious talent.
