Newcastle United have joined the battle for Roma striker Seydou Doumbia.

The Daily Star Sinday says Doumbia, 28, is also a target for Aston Villa, Leicester and Swansea.

The Ivory Coast star has spent the first half of the season on loan at CSKA Moscow.

But the Magpies are keen to a secure a temporary deal and bring him to the Premier League.
