Newcastle Jets pose a threat to Perth Glory - Mitchell

Perth Glory coach Dave Mitchell is aware that his side is facing a dangerous Newcastle Jets outfit tomorrow afternoon.

The Glory have started in bright fashion this season, highlighted by last weekend's 2-0 away win over Melbourne Victory, but Mitchell knows tomorrow's nib Stadium encounter with Branko Culina's Jets will not be an easy one.

"I think Branko has made some good signings this year, they've got a lot energy in wide areas and a lot of experience as well," Mitchell said.

"They've got Ljubo (milicevic) who is a fantastic player, Michael Bridges and quality all over the park so they are a dangerous side and one we have to be very wary of."

Perth are currently sitting on top of the A-League ladder and Mitchell hopes they can continue on with their good form, which started at home two weeks ago in the 3-3 draw with North Queensland Fury.

"We played well at home last time despite the late equaliser so hopefully that doesn't happen this week and we can get on top of Newcastle and come away with the points," Mitchell added.
