Newcastle Jets captain Ljubo Milicevic has added some fuel t the fire ahead of tonight's meeting with Gold Coast United.
The in-form centre-half has revealed he would not want any other Gold Coast player, besides Jason Culina, in the Jets line-up in what is a huge slap in the face for the United outfit.
The comments come after Milicevic and the Jets were beaten 1-0 by Gold Coast back in September but the 29-year old is confident that result will be turned around at EnergyAusyralia Stadium tonight.
"Apart from Jason, there is not one player I would want in our squad," Milicevic told the Newcastle Herald yesterday.
"The only one is Jason, otherwise I think we have better players.
"Yes Jason is a cog, and a big cog in their wheel, but it is more about the other players. They were lucky to beat us [1-0] in the last encounter.
"Their right back - I don't even know his name [former Manchester United defender John Curtis] - hits a left footer and puts it up where the pigeon's live [top corner] in the last play of the game.
"It was a fantastic goal and all the rest of it, but we definitely felt robbed. Tomorrow night we are going to prove it was a fluke by them and that we are the better team."
