Nikolai Topor-Stanley looks like being right for the Newcastle Jets' clash with Melbourne Heart tomorrow night.

The 25-year old defender went down with what looked to be a knee injury against Adelaide United last Friday night but initial fears proved wrong and it was diagnosed as a quadriceps strain.

Jets coach Branko Culina confirmed the former Perth Glory man would be right to take on the Heart who boast forward giant Gerald Sibon in their line-up.

"The MRI did not show any major damage, so that was a positive," he told the Newcastle Herald.

"It was important he had that test to make sure he was right mentally about it.

"It's always important to have your key players available and Nikolai is certainly one of those.

"Physically he is very intimidating, as well. Sibon, being a very tall player, is good in the air but he is also very comfortable on the ball.

"I know him from his days at PSV and Heerenveen in Holland and he is a very handy acquisition for the Heart.

"He was one of the better players in the Heart's loss against Central Coast.

"We may have to tie his shoelaces together. Having Nikolai available for selection is a big plus."
