Newcastle Jets boss Branko Culina launched an ugly attack on foreign coaches after their defeat to Sydney FC. Culina, whose son Jason played several years in Holland, moaned: "I don't care what their coach says and the fact that he's on $500,000 and I'm on 50 bucks or whatever it is.
"If that's what the foreigners are going to bring to this game, let's have more local coaches.
''I'm not having a go at him but as far as football is concerned, I thought we played some great stuff but we can only blame ourselves.''
Vitezslav Lavicka has dragged his undermanned Sydney to equal first on the A-League table and shrugged off Culina's amazing attack.
''It was a difficult situation for us before the game because we'd lost our last two games but today all players had the right, strong tough character,'' he said. ''We had 12-13 available [senior] players for this game, and it was difficult.''
