Newcastle Jets coach Branko Culina will not name his final match day squad for tonight's meeting with Gold Coast United until later on today.
Culina says he was unhappy with yesterday's hour-long training session at EnergyAustralia Stadium and still had some things to think about before naming his 14-man team.
"I wasn't happy with training and I will have to sleep on it," Culina said yesterday.
"I tried a few things but it didn't work. It wasn't a good session before a game.
"There was no spark. We need to focus. To beat teams like the Gold Coast, every training session has to be as though it is your last."
Culina needs to find two replacements for unavailable midfielders Jobe Wheelhouse (suspended) and Ben Kantarovski (injured knee) whilst goalkeeper Ben Kennedy may be recalled after a knee problem despite the fact stand-in Matthew Nash has kept two clean sheets in a row.
