Newcastle Jets boss Gary van Egmond admits they're having to release short-term signing Daniel Piorkowski because of salary cap restrictions. "It is unfortunate that we can't keep him here [for the rest of the season]," the coach told the Newcastle Herald. "With regards to the future, we need to see what happens with the contingent we have here.
"But I understand he can't wait forever either. He can't put his life on hold.
"Other clubs are looking to fill their stocks as well.
"If he stays here, fantastic. If he doesn't, then we are glad we have been able to help him out getting back into A-League football."
Piorkowski has been linked with Gold Coast United.
