Newcastle United are preparing a January move for Borussia Monchengladbach striker Max Kruse.
Toon boss Alan Pardew wants to find support for Spanish sensation Ayoze Perez and is lining up a bid for Germany international Kruse.
It's emerged Newcastle had scouts posted to see Kruse in action against VfL Wolfsburg on the weekend.
Kruse is tied to Gladbach until 2017 and the Bundesliga club won't sell on the cheap.
Intermediaries claim Newcastle's opening offer is likely to be for €11 million.
