Newcastle United have genuine fears that Kevin Keegan's compo claim could send the club into bankruptcy.
The former Toon manager could send Newcastle into meltdown after demanding Mike Ashley pays a staggering £25million to settle their compensation battle.
He is demanding £9m for the remainder of his three-year deal is also claiming for loss of future earnings.
He snubbed an initial Ashley offer of £4m but a source told The Sun: "Keegan is crazy. Does he really want to bankrupt Newcastle?
"It is madness to think he should be paid that much but perhaps he sees this as a last big payday.
"For a bloke who says he loves the club, this is all very, very strange."
