After leaving Newcastle United over the summer, veteran goalkeeper Pavel Srnicek has become goalkeeping coach/ scout at his first and hometown club Banik Ostrava.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "I'm back in the Czech Republic working for Banik Ostrava.

"I look after all the goalkeepers in the club, and scouting for new talent.

"I'm putting something back into football."
