Newcastle United hero Pavel Srnicek has been named honorary vice-president for Dunston UTS.
Dunston UTS play in the Northern League and Srnicek will split his time between the Northeast and the Czech Republic where he is goalkeeper coach with Sparta Prague.
Srnicek told the Evening Chronicle: "It is a great honour to be asked to be an Honorary Vice President of Dunston UTS Football Club."
Former Toon teammate Olivier Bernard has also taken charge of Durham City in the past year.
