Former Newcastle United striker Mick Quinn is a big fan of Adam Armstrong.
Quinn wrote in the Evening Chronicle: "Adam Armstrong must have skipped back into work on his return from England duty.
"Three goals in two games, a word from Wayne Rooney and the captain's armband for the Under-18s. The kid could not have done much more.
"Newcastle United's young star has the world at his feet and it is going be great to watch this kid really kick on and show us that can be a top player.
"There will be a clamour to start him in the derby, He's a local lad, is playing well and is the one Newcastle player scoring goals, albeit at youth level.
"But I wouldn't be tempted. Not this time."
