Newcastle United hero Mick Quinn understands the Toon Army's frustration with their dismal summer market campaign.
The window shut last night with Toon only having on-loan QPR striker Loic Remy to show for their work.
Quinn told the Evening Chronicle: “It’s a massive disappointment.
“You have to ask if you are a fan, what was the point of all of the talk of new faces coming in?
“Is it time for somebody with some ambition to come in and have their chance to own the club?
“If you can’t challenge in the Premier League then you could end up in trouble.
“You have to ask where the money has gone.
“Financially I thought Newcastle should have had enough about them to spice things up.”
