Newcastle United hero Pavel Srnicek says manager Steve McClaren is the 'worst in the Premier League'.

Srnicek says McClaren must accept the tag with Toon bottom of the table.

He wrote for the Evening Chronicle: "As long as the results continue to be woeful, Newcastle have to be considering a change – and soon enough they need to make a decisive move.

"At the end of the day you judge a manager on results, plain and simple.

"You don't deem a manager a success because he looks good, is a nice man, speaks well to the media or whatever – you judge them on results.

"...if you look at the bottom then you would say that McClaren is the worst manager in the Premier League at the moment because Newcastle are bottom of the league.

"You judge managers on results, and not on anything else."
