Newcastle United are no closer to signing strike pair Aleksandar Mitrovic or Charlie Austin, according to manager Steve McClaren.
McClaren is desperate to add to a strikeforce that failed to perform last season, with QPR's Austin and Anderlecht's Mitrovic emerging as key targets.
Speaking on the Magpies' tour of the US, the Toon boss admitted the time delay between the US and Europe was proving a difficult in transfer dealings.
"There's no news of yet because of the time difference," he said.
"We get up, train, have lunch then have meetings."
"As always when a player comes in and gets through the door, we'll talk about them a lot more."
McLaren completed the signing of midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum from Dutch champions PSV on the weekend.
