Newcastle striker Demba Ba is a doubt for next weekend's trip to Liverpool due to injury. A suspected shin problem had caused Ba to be replaced in the 72nd minute of the 2-1 success over West Bromwich Albion, after the Senegal striker had claimed his seventh goal in nine games with his 35th minute opener.
Ba will have a scan on the complaint this week and Toon boss Alan Pardew said: "Demba appears to have a bit of a nerve problem.
"It is not a major concern and I don't think it is an ongoing problem, but the major question is whether he can make next week."
