Newcastle United are chasing Rangers defender Carlos Cuellar.

The Daily Mail says Toon Kevin Keegan was at Ibrox last night to watch the central defender - the Newcastle manager's second visit inside a month, after he and assistant Terry McDermott attended the 2-0 victory over Werder Bremen in the previous round.

Rangers are now almost certain to receive bids for the Spaniard when the summer transfer window opens.
