Newcastle go for Hull midfielder Robert Snodgrass

Newcastle are chasing Hull City midfielder Robert Snodgrass.

The Daily Star says Snodgrass has rejected a new contract at the KCOM Stadium and looks set to quit the relegation-threatened club next month.

West Brom are also weighing up a swoop for the 29-year-old Scotland international, who has been one of Hull's best players this season.

But Newcastle are currently pushing hardest, and it is understood Snodgrass has no concerns about dropping into the Championship.

Hull will demand up to £10m for Snodgrass but the Magpies believe they can get him for around half that as he is out of contract next summer
