Newcastle United are set to target Arsenal for Ipswich Town young gun Tyrone Mings.
The Mirror is reporting that the Magpies are showing significant interest in the 21-year old centre-half who is already a target for Arsenal.
Ipswich boss Mick McCarthy is desperate to hold onto former Chippenham Town starlet Mings who has come on in leaps and bounds since moving from the seventh tier to the Championship, much in the same mold as Manchester United's Chris Smalling who spent time in the lower leagues prior to his Old Trafford move.
