Sunderland are pushing to land off contract Blackburn Rovers winger Junior Hoilett.
The Sunday Mirror says Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is still tracking Blackburn's free agent Hoilett, who can leave Ewood Park for a compensation fee as he is under 24.
But North-East rivals Newcastle United have cooled their interest in Hoilett over his wage demands.
