Newcastle United defender Davide Santon has left the door open to a future return to Inter Milan.

Santon was asked about the prospect by FCInterNews.

"This season has been difficult. However, we certainly did well in the January market and we are recovering.

"Inter? Prefer not to talk about them. They're no longer my team. I know they are going through a rough time and I hope they can come back.

"Can I go back to Inter? In life never say never."
