Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi was delighted to score his first international goal at the age of 31. Ameobi, winning his fourth cap for Nigeria, struck in Tuesday's 4-1 friendly win against Burkina Faso.

"I have finally scored and I am very happy with the goal," he tells BBC Sport.

"I've wanted it to go like that for a long time and for it to have gone like that was a dream come true."
