Newcastle United have ended their pursuit of PSV Eindhoven defender Eric Pieters.
The Sun says Newcastle's latest move for PSV's Pieters is over.
The defender severed tendons in his arm when he smashed a window in frustration after being sent off and will be out for nine weeks.
