Newcastle United are following Werder Bremen striker Boucabar Sanogo.
The 26 year-old Ivory Coast international is angling for a move away from Werder after a disappointing six months and favours a move to France.
However, Newcastle are also following Sanogo, whose £2.5 million salary is proving too rich for interested French clubs.
