Newcastle fear Coloccini will miss two biggest games of season

Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew fears they've lost skipper Fabricio Coloccini for two of their biggest games of the season.

Pardew is sweating on Coloccini's fitness after his influential skipper was released early by Argentina.

Pardew fears the 31-year-old will miss Newcastle's revenge mission against Liverpool on Saturday after picking up a thigh injury.

And he is desperate to have Coloccini fit for the crunch Wear-Tyne collision at the Stadium of Light eight days later.
