Newcastle United midfielder Cheik Tiote is already a target for bigger clubs.
The Sunday Sun says the midfielder has settled well on and off the pitch after joining in a relatively cut-price deal from FC Twente, but he is not currently one of United's top earners.
That is likely to change this summer with Newcastle understood to be preparing a new contract offer to reflect his growing importance to the club.
But they will need to act fast, with Chelsea just one of a clutch of teams alerted by his supreme form for United this term.
Everton are another club with an interest in Tiote but David Moyes has limited cash to spend and it is highly unlikely that they could make an offer to tempt either Newcastle or the player.
