Newcastle fans plan Ashley protest march

Newcastle United fans are planning a protest march against club owner Mike Ashley.

The Daily Star Sunday says 'The Time for Change' campaign are planning to demonstrate against club owner Ashley before Toon's televised home game with Liverpool on Saturday, October 19.

The controversial appointment of Joe Kinnear as director of football and his failure to add to the loan signing of QPR striker Loic Remy have left fans dismayed.

Graeme Cansdale, who chaired a meeting of supporters' bodies, said: "We want to put the club in the shop window.

"If people come together on this march, someone might come forward, you never know."
