Newcastle fans have Jonas into tears

Jonas Gutierrez is touched by the support he's received from Newcastle United fans.

Jonas is set to make an emotional return to Tyneside this month after being given the all-clear from testicular cancer.

He is keen to link up with his team-mates to show his appreciation for their messages of support in his fight with the disease.

And he is set to say a special thanks to the St James' Park faithful - who left the 31-year-old with tears in his eyes with their songs of support from the stands as he watched Newcastle's games on TV during his treatment in South America.

Toon skipper, close friend and fellow Argie Fabricio Coloccini revealed: "He's told me he was very happy because he heard the fans' songs on TV.

"During the first two or three games, he said he was crying. For him, it was very good. He's finished his treatment, and we're waiting for him to join us. Everyone wants to see him playing again and training with us."
