Newcastle United face competition from Chelsea for Montpellier midfielder Remy Cabella.

The Evening Chronicle says French sources state Montpellier chief Louis Nicollin is resigned to losing the talented playmaker but will continue to play hardball to get the price he wants.

Chelsea have been alerted to Cabella's availability but are yet to bid for his services.

However, more worryingly for United, both Napoli and Borussia Monchengladbach are thought to be keen and may be willing to meet Nicollin's €16million demands for Cabella.
