Newcastle United are eyeing Real Sociedad goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli.
The Sun says Toon boss Rafa Benitez has shortlisted two South Americans in his search for a new keeper.
Benitez wants to spend on a top stopper in the January transfer window.
And his spies have sent back rave reviews on Geronimo Rulli and Fernando Muslera.
Argentinian Rulli, 25, rated at £15 million, is starring for Real Sociedad after joining them from Manchester City, where he never played.
Uruguay Muslera, 31, has more experience and is in fine form for Galatasaray in Turkey, where he has been for most of his career.
He would be more of a bargain at around £8m.
