Newcastle United have sounded out Evian this morning for Daniel Wass.

The Denmark international has been watched by Toon chief scout Graham Carr this season.

Newcastle have made enquiries for Wass, who came close to joining Schalke last week.

Wass was linked with Manchester United before Christmas.
