Newcastle United are believed to be winning the race for QPR striker Charlie Austin.
The Express reports that the Magpies are in pole position to sign the 25-year old who is also a target for Southampton, West Ham United and Chelsea.
Newcastle have been linked with Austin for months now and it appears they could snare their man after making an offer of £14million.
Austin, who scored 18 goals in his debut Premier League season, is almost certain to leave Loftus Road this summer following the west London club's relegation to the Championship.
