Newcastle United want to bring back Liverpool striker Andy Carroll.
The People says Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is leaving the door open for Newcastle to sensationally hijack Carroll's permanent move to West Ham United.
Rodgers needs the £17million that the Kop hope to bank from the sale of England striker Carroll, who is on a season-long loan at Upton Park.
Sam Allardyce's Hammers have an agreement to buy the player next summer but Newcastle could still sabotage the deal - if he is given the option of going back to his hometown club.
