Newcastle United are determined to seal a deal for Aston Villa striker Darren Bent according to reports.
The Magpies have not yet made a signing this summer and are eager to make 29-year old Bent their first recruit of the off-season.
Villa want £6million for the former Sunderland and Tottenham attacker who is also attracting interest from Fulham.
