Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew wants to sign Crystal Palace fullback Nathaniel Clyne.
The People says Pardew is preparing for life without his right back Danny Simpson by stepping up his interest in Crystal Palace defender Clyne. While the former Manchester United defender, 25, continues to stall over a new long-term contract, Pardew watched Clyne in action against Middlesbrough yesterday.
The England Under-21 international has caught the attention of the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and Wolves and is expected to leave Palace this summer.
