Newcastle United have rubbished claims of Gabriel Obertan refusing to come off the bench at Everton.

However, Alan Pardew revealed the winger's frustration at not being involved of late.

He said: "Obertan is upset. He has been absolutely flying in training.

"He didn't get on the pitch at Everton. But we'll put him in at the right time."
