Newcastle United defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa now feels more comfortable at Premier League level.
The Frenchman has helped Toon to back to back wins in the top flight.
"Everything has gone well for me. It is important not to forget this is not the same at all as playing in France. The league and the style of play is very different. I need to adopt an English mentality and think what is needed to play well here. That means settling in in terms of the team and the league.
"We had a very good pre-season and I feel really fit. And that should serve me well going forward."
