Newcastle United defender Davide Santon says he's likely to be still at Inter Milan if Jose Mourinho had stayed.

Real Madrid coach Mourinho gave Santon his first team debut during his time in charge at Inter.

"My knee is better and if Mourinho had stayed ...," admitted Santon.

"I follow Inter and they will improve with Claudio Ranieri. I realized that I would not have played with (Gian Piero) Gasperini."
