Newcastle United defender Remie Streete is eager to make the most of his loan with Port Vale.
Streete was an unused substitute on Saturday as Rob Page's Valiants hammered Yeovil 4-1 at Vale Park.
He told The Sentinel: "I am starting to get to know the lads a bit more and gain my confidence in training so I am enjoying it.
"If you win a game 4-1 then no one is going to complain about that. I didn't play a part but I just have to keep going in training and hopefully get a chance to show people what I can do.
"I am still young and it is a great experience to come here on loan and settle into a new team. It is something that I haven't experienced before but hopefully I will get some games under my belt.
"All I can do is train hard and then, should there be an opening in the team, come and show what I can do, then hopefully become a member of the first-team regularly.
"I have a few weeks to settle in. I am initially only here for a month but it takes a few weeks to get to know the lads and get into the swing in training. Then hopefully ideally I will stay at least until January and see where it goes from there."
