Newcastle United defender Daryl Janmaat is confident they're serious about winning the Capital One Cup.

Newcastle overcame Northampton Town this week.

Janmaat told the Evening Chronicle: “Winning trophies is what it is all about.

“I won one in Holland.

“It was a nice experience and we have to try and go as far as possible."
