Newcastle United defender Fabricio Coloccini says he can handle his Argentina axing with thoughts of playing in the Premiership next season.
Coloccini was cut by Argentina coach Diego Maradona this week.
He told the Evening Chronicle: "Luckily, my environment keeps me calm because things have gone very well in England with Newcastle United and everything is possible.
"Once I get beyond this hard time, I will be Argentina's No 1 fan and I hope we come out champions. Like any player would be, I'm sad about this decision.
"But I give all my support to these players to take Argentina to the top of the world.
"We should not be selfish and that is why I wish the best to the guys. It is the coach's decision."
